How to use
- First use only: pop the cap off, remove the netting from inside the brush head, and put the cap back on.
- Slam: with the cap on, slam the brush on a hard surface about 10 times.
- Sweep: sweep the bristles across your palm to check for powder.
- Brush: brush onto skin until covered. Build a light, visible layer, and press the brush onto the skin rather than waving it.
Directions, as on the label
- Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.
- Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.
- Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

How to refill
- Turn your Sol Brush upside down so any leftover powder stays put.
- Unscrew the bottom of the Sol Brush.
- Pour the refill into the bottom of the brush.
- Screw the bottom back on.
- Re-prime: with the cap on, slam it about 10 times, then sweep and brush.

- Shake well before use.
- Hold the can 4 to 6 inches from skin.
- Spray evenly, then smooth into skin with your hand.
- For your face, spray into your hands first, then smooth on, avoiding eyes and mouth.

How to use: Pop, Tap, Test
- Pop off the cap.
- Tap the brush firmly on a hard surface until the powder fills the bristles.
- Test by sweeping across the back of your hand until you see the powder appear.
- Apply liberally over exposed skin, sweeping it on. No rubbing needed.
Directions, as on the label
- Apply liberally to exposed skin.
- Reapply every 2 to 3 hours as needed.
- For ages 6 months and up. Avoid eyes and mouth.
- An adult should apply it to children: put the powder on your own hands first, then onto the child. Do not apply to children under 6 months.
Cautions, as on the label
- For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
- Avoid breathing the dust, and use it in a well ventilated area.
- Made with essential oils. If you have sensitive skin, try a small amount first.
- If skin irritation occurs, stop use and wash with soap and water.

Active: Lemongrass Leaf Powder 12%, Lemongrass Leaf Oil 10%, Peppermint Oil 5%, Geraniol 5%, Neem Seed Oil 2%, Lavender Oil 2%, Menthol 1% (about 37% in total).
Other ingredients: Silica 44%, Zinc Oxide 10%, Corn Starch 5%, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 1.5%, Calendula Flower Extract 1%, Sunflower Seed Oil 0.5%, Coconut Oil 0.5%, Castor Seed Oil 0.5% (about 63% in total).
Silica and corn starch make the dry, mess free powder base. The zinc oxide is part of that base.

Is Sol Brush a mineral sunscreen?
Yes. Sol Brush SPF 50 is 100% mineral: Broad Spectrum SPF 50 from Zinc Oxide 24.1% and Titanium Dioxide 23.9%, 48% total mineral actives. It has no oxybenzone, no octinoxate and no chemical UV filters.
Is Sol Brush waterproof?
No sunscreen can be called waterproof. Sol Brush is Water Resistant (80 minutes). After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, or right after towel drying, put on a fresh layer.
How often should I reapply?
At least every 2 hours. Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure, then reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.
How do I use Sol Brush?
Slam, Sweep, Brush. With the cap on, slam the brush on a hard surface about 10 times, sweep the bristles across your palm to check for powder, then brush onto skin until covered. On a brand new brush, remove the netting from inside the brush head first.
Why is no powder coming out of my new brush?
Check the netting first. A new brush has a small protective net inside the brush head: pop the cap off, remove it, and put the cap back on. Then slam the brush on a hard surface about 10 times and sweep across your palm until you see powder.
How do I know I put on enough?
Build a light, visible layer. You should see a soft veil of powder on the skin as you go. If you cannot see any, keep building, and press the brush onto the skin rather than waving it.
Will Sol Brush leave a white cast?
No white cast. Translucent adds protection with no color, and Fair and Medium add a hint of tint.
Can I put Sol Brush on over makeup?
Yes. Sol Brush SPF 50 doubles as a setting powder, so you can sweep it over makeup and reapply through the day without taking your makeup off.
Is Sol Brush safe for kids and babies?
Yes. Sol Brush SPF 50 is kid- and baby-safe, 100% mineral, and free from oxybenzone and octinoxate. For little ones, the label says: children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor.
Is Sol Brush okay for sensitive skin?
Yes. Sol Brush SPF 50 is sensitive-skin friendly and non-comedogenic. It is free from parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, petrolatum, sulfates, mineral oils and artificial fragrances.

How do I refill my Sol Brush?
Turn your Sol Brush upside down so any leftover powder stays put, unscrew the bottom, pour the refill in, and screw the bottom back on. Then re-prime: with the cap on, slam it about 10 times, then sweep and brush.
Why does my brush look less full than I expected?
The fill is measured by weight, not by how full the barrel looks, and the powder settles and packs down in shipping. About 10 firm slams with the cap on spread it back out.
How long does Sol Brush last before it expires?
About 2 years from manufacture. It is best used within 12 months of opening.
What is the difference between Sol Brush and Sol Brush Mini?
Size. The Mini carries the same Broad Spectrum SPF 50 mineral powder in a 4 gram pink brush. The full-size Sol Brush holds 0.64 oz (18 g).
Is Sol Brush vegan?
Yes. Sol Brush SPF 50 is vegan and cruelty-free. The SPF 30 Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is not vegan, because it contains honey extract.
Are Airy and the moisturizers water resistant too?
Yes, for 40 minutes. Airy SPF 30, the Daily Moisturizer SPF 50 and the Tinted Moisturizer SPF 37 are each Water Resistant (40 minutes). The lip gloss and lip balm are not rated for water resistance, so reapply after eating, drinking or towel drying.
Does Airy have a scent?
Only the Pink one. Airy Blue (No Shimmer) is unscented and fragrance free. Airy Pink (Shimmer) has a light scent and contains fragrance (Parfum).
Does the lip balm contain nuts?
Yes. The SPF 30 Cocoa Butter Lip Balm contains sweet almond oil, a tree nut ingredient. If you have a tree nut allergy, do not use it.
