Not your average sunscreen

It looks like a makeup brush and works like sunscreen. The bristles are so soft that kids ask for a turn, and it sweeps right over makeup.

  1. 3x larger brush

Big, soft bristles for face, body, scalp and part line.

  2. Refillable

Keep the brush and restock the powder for $39.99. TSA-safe, so it flies with you.

*Sol Brush holds 18 g of powder. Most single brush-on SPF powders hold 4 to 6 g.

How it works: Slam, Sweep, Brush

The powder lives in the barrel. About 10 firm slams send it down to the bristles, then it glides on in seconds.

  1. Hand holding a pink Sol Brush upside down, ready to slam it on a table

    Slam

First time? Pop the cap, pull the netting off the bristles and put the cap back on. With the cap on, hold it upside down and slam it on a hard surface about 10 times.

  2. Sol Brush powder falling onto an open palm beside a pool

    Sweep

Take the cap off and sweep the bristles across your palm. See powder? You are ready. No powder yet? Slam it about 10 more times.

  3. A parent brushing Sol Brush onto a child's leg

    Brush

Brush on in small circles, face to feet, scalp and part line too. Keep going until you can see a light, even layer.

Powder settles in shipping, so a new brush can look less full than you expect. The fill is measured by weight, and about 10 slams fluff it back up.

Does a powder really work?

Yes, when you put on enough. Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide do the work, and the brush gets them onto skin without the mess.

Build a light, visible layer. Press the brush onto skin and keep going until you can see a soft veil, especially on the kids. See nothing? Add another pass.

We love our Sol brush!! It's easy with the kids and we reapply way more than we would a traditional sunscreen because we don't have to dread the fight.

Sol Brush has made getting my ADULT son & hubby so much more willing to reapply sunscreen. It’s so much better than pestering them to reapply lotion or spray.

Sol Brush questions, answered

Straight answers from the Sol Brush team.

Is a powder enough, and how much do I put on?

Yes, when you build a light, visible layer. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Press the brush onto skin and keep going until you can see a soft veil, then check the spots kids wiggle away from. If you cannot see any product, add another pass.

How often do I reapply, and is it waterproof?

No sunscreen can be called waterproof. Sol Brush is Water Resistant (80 minutes). Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.

What ages is it for?

Sol Brush is kid- and baby-safe: 100% mineral, with no oxybenzone and no octinoxate, and the brush sweeps powder onto skin instead of misting it into the air. For babies under 6 months, shade comes first, so ask a doctor before using any sunscreen on them.

Is it safe to breathe in?

It is swept onto skin, not sprayed, so it does not hang in the air the way an aerosol mist does. Brush gently and do not puff it toward anyone's face. For little ones, brush it onto your hand or their body first, then sweep it onto their face carefully.

Will it leave a white cast, and which tint should I pick?

No white cast. The powder goes on sheer. Translucent adds no color, and the tinted shades add a hint of color to match your skin. Not sure? Tap “Help me pick a tint” next to the options.

Can I wear it over makeup?

Yes. It doubles as a setting powder, so you can sweep it over a full face at lunch or in the carpool line without starting over.

Why does it cost more than a bottle of lotion?

You buy the brush once. One brush holds 0.64 oz (18 g) of powder, and when it runs low you keep the brush and refill the powder for $39.99. It also gets used, because it is quick enough to reapply in the car line.

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery. Unused brushes with the netting intact get a full refund. Opened and used brushes get a 30% refund. Defective brushes are replaced. Read the refund policy.

Shipping is free on orders of $80 or more after discounts, and $4.99 under that. Track your order.

Where can I buy Sol Brush?

Here on solbrush.com, where the refills and bundles live too. Sol Brush is also sold on Amazon and TikTok Shop.

Which discount codes are official?

Only codes sent by Sol Brush or by a creator we name. Codes posted on coupon sites are not honored.
